Singer and actress, who appeared in the film “Lottery Ticket,” was arrested early in the morning on August 19th for drunken driving.

The 23 year old was driving her silver Infiniti when she rear-ended another vehicle in Beverly Hills, as reported by TMZ. When LAPD officer arrived on the scene, they stated that Mari was visibly intoxicated. Onlookers stated that “she was really messed up-she couldn’t even stand”. Depending on the person’s level of intoxication, a DUI attorney can have charges reduced.

Mari was put under arrest for DUI, but things got worse and she became comparative with the officer, who sustained a “minor cut” on his hand. That resulted in an assault charge. She was held in jail on a $50,000 dollar bond.

After her release from jail, she released a statement taking for full responsibility for the drunken driving charge but was confused by the assault charge. She denies assaulting the officer.

Drinking and driving is very irresponsible and endangers other drivers. Police officers have ramped up their efforts to stop intoxicated drivers through Labor Day weekend.

An arrest for drunken driving can had adverse effects on a person’s life unless they hire an experienced DUI lawyer.
DUI attorneys can ask the courts for leniency and can make it possible to receive a reduced sentence and lower fines. They can keep you from going to jail or losing your driver’s license.
