RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – A repeat Arkansas drunk driving offender is behind bars again for his eleventh DWI arrest.

According to Arkansas State Police, William Hogue, 30, is being held at Pope County Detention Center for a DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) charge he incurred on State Highway 7 over the weekend.

Hogue was pulled over on Sunday and authorities believed him to be intoxicated, so he was issued field sobriety and blood alcohol content exams. Hogue failed the field sobriety test and blew a .28 percent BAC, which is three times over the legal limit in Arkansas of .08 percent.

Hogue has already been convicted ten times for DWI or DUI (Driving Under the Influence). The drunk driving arrests took place throughout Arkansas and Wyoming, dating back to 1999.

In Arkansas, a fourth DWI offense is considered a felony, carrying a possible penalty of up to six years in prison. District Judge Don Bourne, who presided over Hogue’s latest DWI case, prohibited Hogue from drinking alcohol as well as driving altogether.

Hogue is scheduled to appear in court in June.
