CLARENCE, New York – ESPN analyst and former NHL player Matthew Barnaby has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
Barnaby, 38, was stopped on Sunday for driving his SUV that was missing a front tire erratically.
The Erie County sheriff’s office explains Barnaby was operating in a Porsche Cayenne with front-end damage and a sparking rim in Clarence. After failing field sobriety tests and refusing a breath test, Barnaby was arrested for DWI.
Barnaby’s license was revoked due to the DWI arrest and is scheduled to appear in Clarence Town Court.
Earlier this year, Barnaby was involved in a domestic incident and was ordered to perform community service as a result.
Barnaby started his NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres during the 1992-93 season. He has then worked for ESPN since 2008.
Driving while intoxicated also known as DWI, is a serious crime. Those who are found guilty of DWI are subject to strict penalties and fines, including driver’s license revocation, having to pay expensive fines, or even going to jail. However, there is a way to beat a DWI charge, all you have to do is speak to a leading DWI lawyer immediately to contest your charges.
DWI lawyers do whatever it takes to make sure your charges are either significantly reduced or wiped out altogether. Your DWI lawyer will investigate the incident to find out what really happened. Too many times, motorists are arrested for DWI unfairly. Either the motorist was arrested on officer suspicion alone or was issued a faulty breath test. Don’t worry because if this has happened to you, your DWI lawyer will not allow you to suffer punishment for a crime you did not commit or one that there is insufficient proof to charge you. Your paralegal will make sure your charges are dismissed immediately.
Although DWI charges can be contested, there is only a small window of opportunity to do so. Speak to an acclaimed team of DWI lawyers today to discuss your options and get started on your case. Rest assured that with a skilled paralegal on your side, your case will end with the best possible outcome.
