Arkansas Groups Fight to Ban Legalization of Medical Marijuana

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Eric Wright Arrested for DUI

LOS ANGELES – Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright was arrested in Los Angeles Monday for driving under the influence after crashing his car near Staples Center.
The incident took place at around midnight when Wright, who was operating a Mercedes SLS, rear-ended a pickup truck.
Wright did not sustain any injuries but authorities say the truck driver was hurt.
Wright, 26, admitted he had been drinking earlier that night at a friend’s house. Following the incident, he refused to submit to sobriety tests and was booked for suspicion of felony DUI.
This isn’t Wright’s first brush with the law. He was arrested in March 2004 while attending USC for investigation of rape, but he was never formally charged due to lack of evidence.

New Mexico Authorities Reinstate DWI Unit

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – New Mexico authorities have launched a new effort to stop drunk drivers.
A three-man DWI unit in Rio Rancho has been reinstated and in a matter of only three months, the
team arrested 69 drivers for driving while intoxicated.
The DWI unit also made 44 other arrests for miscellaneous traffic violations and gave out 724 citations and 76 warnings for other offenses.
The city of Rio Rancho hopes to make the DWI unit permanent eventually.
