New York, NY- Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholder Jon Jones was arrested Saturday May 19th after he crashed his Bentley into light pole in upstate New York. He appeared in court today for his arraignment.
Police said in a statement, that cars were dispatched at 5:02 a.m. to respond to a one-car accident. When police arrived they found Jones, driving a Bentley, had struck a utility pole in Binghamton, New York.
According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, the Bentley was totaled.
Jones, who is a devout Christian, had a squeaky clean image until his arrest over the weekend. His clean image can be used by a DWI attorney to build an effective defense that may result in a lenient sentence for Jones.
Jones went on Facebook to apologize to his fans for his indiscretion, saying, “I am truly sorry to those of you that I may have embarrassed in any way, to those of you with kids that I may have let down. I will prove to them as well as to myself, that no matter what is happening in my life, we can always work our way back and make things better than before.”
The police report didn’t state what his level of intoxication was, but a DWI generally indicates a person was well above the legal limit. DWI penalties are severe and the alleged guilty parties will need to hire the best DWI attorney they can find.
If you want to avoid a jail term and negate some of the other penalties, you must retain a DWI attorney with a track-record of getting reduced sentences and fines for their clients.
Jared Allen Happy to Leave Kansas City

After having faced a number of issues following his two DWI arrests in 2006, Jared Allen, a former Kansas City Chiefs player who is now with the Minnesota Vikings, said he is relieved he left the town.
After he was arrested twice for DWI, Allen’s career was never the same. The legal consequences of the DWIs resulted in a feud between him and Chiefs’ general manager Carl Peterson. Allen felt that Peterson went back on a promise that was made to him which would give him a long-term contract.
Allen was eventually traded to the Vikings, who welcomed him with open arms. He expressed his exuberance over not having to be part of the Chief’s team anymore and called out Peterson and Chief’s owner Clark Hunt by name in a Star magazine interview.
“His name was Carl Peterson,” said Allen, when asked why he wanted to leave the town. “You can write that in caps. Obviously I guess I had a problem with Clark (Hunt), too, because he chose Carl over me.”
“My biggest thing was, ‘Listen, I never lied to you guys. I show up and I bust my tail for you. Please don’t lie to me.’ After so many times of hearing they’re going to take care of you and they don’t and hearing the words Carl had to say about me, it’s tough to give it your all for somebody like that,” he added.
Allen went on to praise his new team in an interview with the St. Paul Pioneer Press, saying: “I should probably thank (Peterson). He did me something awesome by not signing me back when we tried to do an extension. I’m at a great organization now. The [Vikings owners] Wilfs are phenomenal. The contract I was going to sign, this one is 10 times more than that one. I’m just truly blessed to be in Minnesota.”

An intoxicated driving charge is a major pain and after hiring a DUI attorney, paying the fines and having a breathalyzer installed in your vehicle it can cost a person thousands. Not to mention you face losing your driver’s license and even spending time in jail.
People will do just about anything to avoid a DUI, even have sex with an unattractive police officer.
Just yesterday, St Louis County prosecutors charged Timothy Jones, a 48 year old Country Club Hills police officer with acceding to corruption by a public servant.
Last November, Jones stopped a 24 year old young woman on Interstate 70 for suspicion of drunk driving. He asked her to submit to a field sobriety tests and determined that she was intoxicated. But instead of putting her under arrest he told her she could avoid the charge if she would have sex with him. She agreed, and they went to her house to engage in several sexual acts.
Hiring a DUI lawyer sounds like a better option, when you consider the officer’s appearance. He was only caught because two other officers found the woman’s cell phone in his patrol car and called her mother. The young woman’s mother relayed the story to the officers. He was still employed until a few months ago while an investigation was pending.
Finding an experienced St. Louis DUI attorney is a much better option. They may be able reduce sentences and diminish the penalties.
